NEFEJ, with support from the Free Press Unlimited (FPU) of the Netherlands, organized an advanced summer school for journalists from April 25 to 27 at NEFEJ.
The summer school was organized to let the journalists become familiar with the concept of in- depth reporting on environment and climate change and also capacitate them to report on climate change and other environmental issues.
A total of 22 participants from different media outlets working in different provinces participated in the summer school. The participating journalists were from Naya Patrika, Radio Sagarmatha, Setopati, Radio Nepal, Nagarik, The Himalayan Times, Rajdhani, Jaleshwor Today, Hakahakionline, Deshsanchar, Ratopati, Kantipur, Onlinekhabar and Annapurna Post.
At the end of the summer school, 9 journalists from different provinces were selected for the fellowship and were assigned to write and produce in-depth stories on issues of environment and climate change.
