District Training on Climate Change and Community Based Adaptation Planning

Kathmandu, Nepal Forum of Environmental Journalists is a part of consortium led by Rupantaran Nepal consisting National Association of Village Development Committee's in Nepal (NAVIN) and SAMUHIK AVIYAN for District Training on Climate Change and Community Based Adaptation Planning uder ADB TA 7984/MoPE. The consortium has successfully completed the 30 distict training events in Mid, Western, Mid-Western and Far-Western districts.

The six day training was designed to empower the local development planner to intregate the local adaptation issues in local level planning. The consortium trained more than 800 people who can contribute the local level planning.

The entire training was divided into five phase and all the sessions were completed successfully. The training sessions were held in  Pyuthan, Dhading and Chitawan in phase one, Arghakhanchi, Gulmi, Baglung, Dadeldhura, Doti, Myagdi, and Surkhet in second phase. Similarly the training session was organized in Salyan, Palpa, Tanahun, Kaski, Nawalparasi, Parbat and Syangja in third phase. The same training sessions were held in Kapilvastu, Rupandehi, Parsa, Makwanpur, Banke and Gorkha in phase four. The final phase training were held in Bajhang, Kanchanpur, Darchua, Baitadi, Manang, Mustang and Lumjung.
